A memorial service for Karpal Singh has been announced for 24 April 2014, this Thursday. The event will be held for those in KL who want to pay their last respects to the fallen national hero. SJK (C) Chung Kwo in Jalan Loke Yew, Kuala Lumpur, will house the memorial from 7.30pm to 11pm.

The event will be graced by Puchong MP Gobind Singh, Bagan MP Lim Guan Eng, Gelang Patah MP Lim Kit Siang, opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim,  Kuala Kedah MP Mat Sabu, Cheras MP Tan Kok Wai,  Parti Sosialis Malaysia’s President Dr. Nasir, Human Rights Lawyer Malik Imtiaz, and Ex Bersih Chair Ambiga Sreenevasan.

In DAP’s statement today, Segambut MP Lip Lip Eng said that the tribute, held in the school’s hall, will expect to see around 5000 people attending. While honouring the late MP, flowers, souvenirs and memorabilia will be available for those who visit. -The Rocket
