SEPANG, 10 MAR: On behalf of the party, DAP Parliamentary Leader Lim Kit Siang expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved relatives and friends of the missing MH370 flight, which has tragically disappeared en route to Beijing.
“We pray that they find the strength from the support of Malaysians and like-minded people world-wide to face their great grief and trial,” he said.
Yesterday Lim, who is MP for Gelang Patah, took time to meet the families of the passengers at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Speaking to family members, he emphasized that while the search for answers is baffling for all Malaysians, our focus now should be on search and rescue efforts.
Lim was accompanied by Selangor state EXCO and Seri Kembangan State Assemblyman Ean Yong Hian Wah and other DAP leaders. Their visit was acknowledged by Malaysia Airports on twitter.
The Boing 777-200ER flight which lost radio contact with MAS early on Saturday morning was carrying 239 passengers and crew. Joint search and rescue efforts by the governments of Malaysia, Vietnam, China, Singapore and the Philippines are ongoing. The plane’s last known location before it disappeared off the radar was 065515 North (longitude) and 1033443 East (latitude) at the South China Sea.
