SEMPORNA, 3 March: The situation in Kampung Simunul and several areas linked to the Lahad Datu intrusion incident appeared calm tonight with Malaysian security forces present to ensure security.
A check by Bernama found the road leading to the village and the surrounding areas to be guarded by policemen and soldiers.
The security forces also advised the villagers who remain in their houses to be alert.
